I used my kid's school fundraiser chocolate bars to bribe my other kid.

My oldest (10) has to sell 24 chocolate bars for a school fundraiser. My youngest (7) has been on a total terror streak lately, and I was desperate. I told him he could have one of the fundraiser bars every day he had a 'green light' day at school.
The full story
Okay, hear me out, I know how this sounds. My oldest is selling those classic school fundraiser chocolate bars. We bought the whole box from him so he wouldn't have to go door-to-door, so now we have 24 of them in our pantry. He got his fundraising credit, all is good. Meanwhile, my youngest has been… a challenge. We get daily reports from his teacher, and it's been a sea of 'yellow lights' and 'red lights' for behavior. Nothing major, just constant talking, not staying in his seat, the usual 7-year-old chaos. My husband and I were at our wit's end trying to find a reward that would actually motivate him. Then I had the brilliant/terrible idea. I told my youngest that for every day he came home with a 'green light' from his teacher, he could have one of his brother's fundraiser chocolate bars. It worked like a charm! We've had five green days in a row, which is a new record. The problem is, my oldest found out and is now furious that his fundraiser chocolate (which, again, we paid for) is being used as a reward for his brother. they says it's 'his' chocolate and I should have bought different candy. My husband thinks it's hilarious and effective, but now I'm wondering if I accidentally broke some kind of sacred sibling code.

@yaraee — My parents used to 'rent' my best toys from me to reward my little sister for doing her chores. I still bring it up in therapy.
@kindahungry — But if you bought the whole box from him, isn't it technically your chocolate to begin with?
@zanekk — Sounds like you solved one problem and created a new one.
@reed — Whatever works.
