I'm starting to think these QR code menus are a prank on the older generation.

Back in my day, you got a physical menu and paid with cash. I tried to pay for lunch with my phone like the kids do and accidentally paid for the table of college students next to us.

My goodness, the world is moving too fast. My buddy and I went out for a nice quiet lunch, and of course there's no paper menus anymore, just a little sticker on the table. After wrestling with my phone to see the menu, it comes time to pay. I'm trying to be hip, so I scan the code again to pay the bill. I must have fat-fingered something, because next thing I know I have a receipt for $94 when we only had two sandwiches. Turns out I'd paid the tab for the six college kids at the next table. They were very polite about it, but heavens, it was embarrassing. Give me a paper bill and a waitress to hand my card to any day.
