She threw a party and left a huge mess. I left a sarcastic note about it. Then a freak rainstorm happened overnight and damaged her vinyls that were on the floor, and somehow she's decided it's my fault.

My roommate (25F) and I (26F) have been living together for a year, and it’s mostly fine, but she is messy. Not just 'leaves a few dishes' messy, but 'leaves a biohazard' messy. She had a bunch of friends over for a pre-4th-of-July thing while I was working a double. I came home at 2am to the apartment absolutely destroyed. Sticky floors, half-eaten food on the counter, red solo cups on every surface, including my bookshelf. I was so mad and exhausted I couldn't even think about confronting her. So I did something petty. I wrote a note saying, 'Hope you had fun! The maid service will be unavailable tomorrow, so you're on your own:)' and I taped it to the TV screen, which is right next to her precious, very expensive record player setup. I went to bed, fuming. Well, I woke up to screaming. Actual screaming. I run out and she's holding up one of her vintage records. The sleeve is completely warped and soaking wet. I look over and see that a whole crate of her records she'd left on the floor is sitting in a puddle of water. Apparently, someone left the main living room window open, and there was a freak summer downpour in the middle of the night that blew right in. Classic. But this is where it gets crazy. She is blaming ME. Her argument is that my 'negative, passive-aggressive energy' from the note 'cursed the apartment' and that if I had just talked to her 'like a normal person,' she would have 'felt the need' to close the window before bed. they says my note made her so upset she just went to sleep without checking anything. She's sent me a literal spreadsheet of every record that was damaged with its estimated value from Discogs and is demanding I pay her $1,078 to replace them. She's telling all our friends I did this to her on purpose. I feel bad her stuff is ruined, but I didn't make it rain!
