I have to take my friend's cat on a 'goodbye tour' before it moves.
By @gusagain · Friends
My best friend is moving across the country and is making me, the cat-sitter, take her cat to all its 'favorite places' before she leaves. This includes a park it likes to look at from the window and the outside of a fish market.
The full story
So my best friend is moving. Her cat, who is objectively a little demon but my friend thinks is a literal angel, is flying out a week after her. I'm watching him for the week. She's created a binder for me, fine, but inside is a schedule for a 'goodbye tour.' I am supposed to put this cat in a carrier and take him to a specific bench at a park, the sidewalk outside a seafood place he apparently enjoys smelling, and for a 'final visit' to our old apartment building. I told her this is insane and she got genuinely weepy about it. It's so dumb but I feel like I have to do it now.
