I asked my brother if he could stop by my place twice this week to water my plants while I'm out of town. they said sure, but only if I pay him. He lives maybe 15 minutes away. I thought he'd just do it as a favor, you know, because we're family. But he sent me a Venmo request for $20. Feels weird to pay family for something so small. I'd do it for him for free, no questions asked. Now I either pay him or my plants die.
