I have to confess something truly awful.
By @ediekindof · Friends
I was at a friend's apartment for a party, and I did something in her bathroom that I can never, ever tell her about. I need to know if I'm a monster.
The full story
Okay so I’m at my friend’s place, it’s a pretty chill party, maybe 15 people. I go to use her bathroom. It’s one of those super trendy bathrooms with a million little jars and fancy soaps and a shelf full of very expensive-looking skincare products. And there it was. A small, beautiful, ceramic jar. I don't know why my brain did this, but I thought... I wonder what’s in it. I picked it up... and it slipped. It fell right onto the tile floor and shattered into a million pieces. But that's not the worst part. The jar, you guys, was full of her grandmother's ashes. I panicked. I scooped up as much as I could and just... flushed it. I am a terrible, terrible person.

What people are saying
@yaralately — say nothing you did the right thing
@maesorta — LMAO
@codyy — Why would anyone keep ashes in a bathroom of all places?
@danatbh — Your avoidance response here is pretty telling; you should probably just tell her what happened.
@coffeefirst — Oh honey, that is a heavy secret to carry. It was a complete accident, you didn't do it on purpose. You're not a monster, just human.
