I'm rewatching a bunch of the shows I thought were amazing as a kid, and they're almost all unwatchable. The laugh tracks are obnoxious and the 'will-they-won't-they' plotlines that used to be iconic are just annoying now.

We romanticize the 90s way too much. The fashion was questionable, the tech was awful, and the TV shows we all pretend were peak television are actually so cringe. I tried to do a throwback watch party and everyone was just looking at their phones after two episodes. The pacing is painfully slow and every single joke is followed by a deafening laugh track to tell you it was funny. It’s not nostalgia, it's a hostage situation with bad audio. We've moved on for a reason. Let's just leave the memories where they are and watch something made this decade.
