so our league has always had dumb punishments. last year the loser had to eat a can of haggis. gross but whatever, it's over in 5 minutes. this year the commish, who is my boyfriend's best friend, is taking it to a whole new level. it's not just wearing the cone, it's the whole public spectacle. he wants to film it for the league group chat, he's picked out a park that has a farmers market on saturdays so it'll be packed. my boyfriend is in the running for last place and he's trying to laugh it off but i can tell he's dreading it. i told the commissioner i thought it was mean-spirited and verging on public humiliation, not just a joke between friends. he told me to 'relax' and that 'it's not that serious.' am i crazy or is this a genuinely messed up thing to make your friend do?
