I benched my boyfriend's fantasy football starter as an anniversary prank.
By @jaredliterally · Sports
He wouldn't stop talking smack about our matchup during dinner prep, so I swapped his star running back to the bench for five minutes. Now he's claiming I violated league integrity.
The full story
My boyfriend cares way more about our fantasy football matchup than our actual anniversary dinner. We are playing each other this week and he’s been talking trash non-stop. So while he was in the shower, I secretly traded his favorite starting running back to his bench for an injured kicker. I told him five minutes later and switched it right back, but he completely panicked and said roster tampering even as a 30-second joke is grounds for league expulsion. He's still sulking at dinner.

What people are saying
@jaredagain — lmaooo
@tatefr — nothing screams romance quite like risking a fantasy league sanction over pasta.
@finnyk — he is using fantasy football to subconsciously avoid real intimacy on your anniversary.
@reeseish — did you actually switch it back immediately or did you leave it until he started looking for his phone
@itsmeagain — next time go in and drop his kicker for someone on IR right before kickoff so he actually learns a lesson
