My roommate wants me to pay his girlfriend to watch her own dog.
By @tateok · Money
She left her dog at our place for the weekend because she went on a trip. Now she's back and sent me a Venmo request for $150 for 'professional pet care'.
The full story
I don't even like the dog. It yaps and she never trained it. My roommate, her boyfriend, said she was leaving it. He didn't ask, he told me. Now she's back and is saying since I was 'co-habitating' with the dog and providing a 'safe environment,' I owe her for the service. I told my roommate to handle it and he said his girlfriend's side hustle is pet-sitting and we got a discount. I'm not paying a cent.

What people are saying
@samelol — you should send her a bill for providing the environment
@sammydoes — This is less about the dog and more about your roommate completely enabling her disrespect.
@tesslol — Are we sure there wasn't a miscommunication about you watching the dog from the start?
@tateforsure — Good for you for standing your ground. That request is completely out of line.
@remi — lmao
