My DnD group is threatening to kick me out over a font.

I'm the designated 'lore keeper' for our Dungeons & Dragons campaign, and I've been taking detailed notes for over a year. I use Comic Sans for all my documents because it's easy for me to read, but now the group is staging a coup.

This feels like the dumbest fight I've ever been in. I've been playing D&D with the same group of six people for about two years. I'm the one who volunteers to take all the notes—keeping track of NPCs, locations, quest items, all the lore our Dungeon Master throws at us. I have a massive folder on my laptop with dozens of documents, and it's basically the campaign's shared brain. I do it because I enjoy it, and it helps me keep track of everything. From day one, I've written all of these notes in Comic Sans, 12-point font. I'm not a graphic designer, I don't care about typography. It's just a goofy, legible font that my eyes find easy to read on a screen for a long time. Nobody has ever said a word about it. Last week, one of the other players—who is a UX designer—made a joke about it in our group chat. 'Year-long campaign and the sacred texts are written in Comic Sans, my eyes are bleeding.' I laughed it off. But then a couple other people chimed in, agreeing with him. Suddenly it became a whole thing. they said it was 'unprofessional' and 'hard to take seriously.' My brother in Christ, we are pretending to be wizards in your basement. He offered to 'fix' all my documents by changing the font to Helvetica or something. I told him no, thanks, I like it the way it is and it's my document. He then put a poll in our Discord server: 'Should the official campaign lore be in a respectable font?' The poll is currently 4-to-1 against me. My own DM voted against me! Now they're half-joking, half-serious that if I don't change the font, they're going to find a new 'Chronicler.' It's become this running gag that's not actually funny. They're treating my notes like a company style guide, and I think it's completely absurd. It's my work, my system, and it's never been a problem until now. Am I being unreasonable, or are they turning a non-issue into a bizarre hill to die on?
