I created a fake Instagram account for a throw pillow and now my boyfriend is mad about it.

I thought it would be a funny bit to make a 'day in the life' for our couch pillow. Now it has more followers than my boyfriend and he says I'm 'embarrassing him' and 'prioritizing a pillow' over our relationship.
The full story
This is so deeply, profoundly stupid that I'm almost embarrassed to type it out. My boyfriend and I got this decorative throw pillow a few months ago. It's one of those ones that looks like a piece of toast. No idea why, we just thought it was funny. Anyway, I was bored one night and had what I thought was a brilliant idea. I made an Instagram account for the pillow. The handle is 'JustToastThings.' At first it was just a joke for our friends. I'd post pictures of it 'watching TV' or 'making coffee' with dumb captions. I Photoshopped its face onto movie posters. I made a reel of it doing a 'GRWM' (get ready with me). It was a bit. A dumb, harmless bit. But then... something happened. One of the reels went viral. Not like, super-viral, but it got like 50,000 likes. The account blew up to 10k followers in a week. I started getting DMs from people saying how much they love the pillow, asking where we got it. A small business that makes blankets even asked if they could send us one for the pillow to 'use.' This is where the problem starts. My boyfriend, who has been trying to grow his own personal 'brand' (he's a musician, he has like 800 followers), is suddenly furious about the whole thing. they says I'm spending too much time on it, that it's weird I'm talking to strangers about a pillow. He got actually angry when I told him about the free blanket offer. they said I was 'selling out' and that it's 'humiliating' that an inanimate object is more popular than him. Last night he told me I had to choose: him or the pillow's Instagram account. I laughed because that is a patently insane thing to say, and he stormed out. I admit it's a dumb hobby, but telling me to delete it feels like a massive overreaction, right?
