My coworkers keep using a company-wide email list for their side hustles.

This week alone I've been solicited for a candle sale, a 'wellness' drink, and an invitation to a cousin's band's show. It's driving me insane, but my manager says it's not a big deal.

The full story

It's a constant stream of 'reply all' messages. Someone will announce they're selling homemade jewelry, and then ten other people reply 'so cute!' or 'how do I order?', burying actual work emails. I brought it up in a team meeting, suggesting we make a separate, opt-in list for this kind of thing. About half the room looked at me like I was a monster. My manager pulled me aside later and said that as long as it's not 'disruptive,' he doesn't see the harm and it's good for morale. I feel like getting 30 notifications about someone's MLM Casserole Party is the definition of disruptive. Am I overreacting to this?
