I vetoed my nephew's fantasy football trade against his own dad.
By @daniactually · Family
My brother tried to fleece his 12-year-old son in our family league for two star starters, so I killed the deal as commissioner. Now my brother claims I'm overstepping and ruining their fun.
The full story
I run our 10-team family fantasy football league. My 12-year-old nephew made the absolute worst trade offer with his dad this week, basically dumping his injured bench guys for two legitimate weekly starters. He genuinely didn't know any better and was just trying to build an 'unstoppable lineup.' His dad tried to accept it immediately to steal a cheap win before Sunday. I stepped in and used commissioner power to veto the swap and explain trade value to the kid. Now his dad is calling me a buzzkill who ruined their family bonding moment.

@cantbelieveit — Good for you protecting that sweet boy, family games should be about learning together not taking advantage of a kid!
@violetmaybe — A harsh fantasy trade is how a boy learns to read the waiver wire and grow some backbone.
@zanelately — Did your brother actually accept it or was he just talking trash in the group chat before you stepped in?
