I took my shirt off at a fantasy football draft and now my friends are trying to make it a rule.

I was hot, the AC was broken, and I was trying to make a joke. Now the league commissioner is trying to formally add a 'shirt-off for picks 1-3' rule to our league bylaws for next year. I am not even in shape.

The full story

So our fantasy draft was at my buddy's house this year and his AC decided to die on the hottest day of late August. It was like 90 degrees in his living room and there are 12 of us crammed in there, sweating and yelling about running backs. I had the third pick. The clock is ticking down, everyone is staring at me, and I'm just absolutely dripping. As a joke, when I walked up to the draft board, I just ripped my shirt off and yelled 'WITH THE THIRD PICK... I'M ABOUT TO PASS OUT, CAN WE OPEN A WINDOW?!' Everyone lost it, it was hilarious. I made my pick, put my shirt back on, whatever. It was a dumb bit. Well, now my league commissioner, who takes his job WAY too seriously, has been texting in the group chat about making it a permanent rule. He's drafting language for a new bylaw: 'The managers with the top three draft positions must announce their first-round pick shirtless to honor the spirit of the 2026 draft.' He's not kidding. He wants to hold a vote. I've created a monster. Some of the guys think it's the funniest thing ever and are all for it. The rest of us, who are not exactly rocking six-packs, are horrified. My girlfriend is crying laughing about it. I have to veto this, right? It was a one-time thing!
