I started putting ghost pepper extract in my lunch to stop the office thief.
By @hollylol · Work
Some jerk in the office keeps eating my food. I've left notes, I've complained to HR, nothing works. So I took matters into my own hands.
The full story
I make a pretty good buffalo chicken dip and bring the leftovers for lunch. Twice last month, it vanished from the fridge. Not a little bit, the whole container. I'm not buying food for some stranger to steal. they said they can't do anything without proof. So yesterday, I made a new batch. This time I put about ten drops of pure ghost pepper extract in it. It's my food, I can make it as spicy as I want. Sure enough, around 1pm I heard a guy from accounting start coughing and choking down the hall before running to the bathroom. Heard him complaining about it later. He didn't admit to stealing it, but we all know. Petty? Maybe. But my lunch will be safe tomorrow.
