My coworker requested me for a single slice of pizza.
By @ediekindof · Work
We were at a team lunch and the startup paid for like 10 boxes of pizza for everyone. I took one slice from a box he was holding and he deadass sent me a request for $3.50 later that night.
The full story
so this was a company thing, my boss's boss expense'd a bunch of pizzas for the whole floor. it wasnt like a potluck or everyone chipping in. my coworker—who is not my manager or anything, just some guy on another team—was standing by the food table and i asked if the pepperoni was spoken for, he shrugged, so i took a slice. later that night i get a venmo notification. it's from him. for $3.50. the memo was the pizza emoji. i thought it was a joke at first so i just ignored it. but then this morning in our team slack he @'d me and was like 'hey can you accept my venmo pls, trying to close out my budget'. his budget?? it was free pizza. i declined the request and he sent it AGAIN. i don't even know what to do at this point, it's so weird. am i supposed to just pay this to make him go away? it feels insane.
