I reported my coworker for trying to sell me scented candles at my desk.
By @finny · Work
She came over during billable hours to pitch her handmade wax melts, so I quietly asked our manager if solicitations were allowed. Now she is furious that I didn't just handle it directly with her.
The full story
We have an open seating floor plan, so everyone can hear everything. Yesterday she walked over, asked if I had a minute, and pitched her side business for five solid minutes. It put me on the spot, so I quietly told our team lead that doing personal business pitches at people's desks feels uncomfortable. Now she found out it came from me and sent a message saying I could have just said 'no thanks' to her face like an adult instead of escalating it.

@owentbh — lmaooo
@jaredlol — You did the right thing sweetie, offices are for working not for setting up a pop up boutique at people's cubicles. Don't let her guilt trip you!
@quinnforsure — you gotta buy one now and burn it right by her desk
@colton2x — love that you had to sit through a wax melt keynote during work hours
@zanelately — My old desk neighbor tried guilt tripping me into buying her daughter's generic candy bars for two weeks straight until HR sent an email out to the whole floor.
