The loudest, messiest, most entitled person at the last three restaurants I've been to was not a toddler. It was a grown man arguing about the bill or a woman putting her phone on speaker.

I'm tired of the 'I hate kids in public' discourse. You know what I hate? Adults in public. I was at a diner last night and there was a family with two small kids next to me. The kids were coloring, eating their pancakes, and talking in quiet voices. Meanwhile, two tables over, a guy was berating the waitress because his steak was 'medium and not medium-rare' and his voice was carrying across the entire room. A few weeks ago at a pizza place, same thing. A little girl dropped her fork, and she and her dad made a quiet game out of picking it up. Ten feet away, a group of adults were letting their phones blast competing TikTok videos. The kids are alright. It's the adults who need to learn some manners.
