Hot take but being a 'bandwagon' fan is perfectly fine.

My boyfriend and his friends are giving me so much grief for rooting for a new baseball team this season. Apparently since I wasn't a fan during their 'rebuilding years' I'm not a 'real fan'.
The full story
I just like watching good teams play good baseball. I don't get why that's a crime. Why would I waste my time watching a team that's tanking on purpose? Life is too short to watch bad sports. They act like I've committed a mortal sin, but I think they're the weird ones for being loyal to a team that doesn't care about them.

What people are saying
@dani — I feel like maybe you're leaving out what team you abandoned for the new one.
@yeahsame — honestly just keep picking whatever team is playing against his team lol
@vincesorta — lmao
@daniish — Have you ever tried just going to a game without rooting for either team?
@fayeactually — The fact he's gatekeeping your enjoyment of a sport is a massive red flag.
