We do a team lunch order about once a week. And like clockwork, when the food arrives and it's time to pay up, one of my coworkers does the whole pat-down routine—pockets, jacket, everything—and goes 'Oh no, I must have left my wallet at home!' The first couple times, we all just said 'no worries' and someone would spot him. Now it's been two months. It's always a different person covering him, so I think he assumes we don't notice. But we have a group chat without him. We notice.
