Every time my boss shares his screen on a call, I hold my breath.

I'm not expecting anything wild, but the potential for seeing a personal iMessage notification or a weird browser tab is just so high. It feels like we're all one errant click away from an HR meeting.

The full story

Today was a close call. During a team-wide presentation, a desktop notification from his wife popped up that said 'don't forget the special cream for my mom!' We all saw it and pretended we didn't. The 10 seconds of silence while he frantically tried to click it away felt like an eternity. I don't know what's worse, seeing the weirdly personal-but-boring message, or the collective silence of everyone pretending they didn't see it. This happens at least once a week.
